Another all-time favorite of mine, G.I and the Idiots, what can I say, if you never heard of this band, you must be living in a cave far from fucking civilization.

I remember buying their reissued tapes at Harrison Plaza back in '95 or 96 just out of sheer curiosity. When I got home to listen to the tapes (Fascinating World and Technology..) I was stumped. This was to become my mentors in my lessons on Pinoy Punk Rock. I listened to these two tapes on my Sony Walkman everyday during my teens and hasn't stopped being on my playlist since.

I first saw this band rip shit up at a Killa John's show in Marikina set up by Maim collective and I was just starstruck when they took the stage. One of my more memrable gigs back then.

The members went on to form Put3ska and Hard K, among others, and rarely play gigs but sometimes, you'll get a surprise appearance from these boys.

R.I.P. Weslu, You are missed!
